Ecotonoha
Ecotonoha is an environmental project by NEC Corporation to
nurture a virtual tree collaboratively and at the same time
contribute to the environment by helping to combat global warming.
As online visitors add to Ecotonoha’s leaves, the virtual
tree will
grow - and as Ecotonoha grows, real trees will be planted by NEC.
For every 100 signatures (or leaves) received on Ecotonoha, we
plant a tree. In 2005 we had 84,539 signatures, and so planted 845
trees on Kangaroo Island in Australia. For more information please

Festival de
Cannes
NEC Computers has been the official IT partner of the
Festival
de Cannes for the past 12 years. Our task during the two-week film
festival is to install and run the event’s entire IT
infrastructure, which includes a secure, high speed network of 10
servers and 350 computers. This allows the festival organisers to
manage some 32,000 accreditations and 20,000 journalist badges,
real time ticketing, control of the entrances, and the projection
of over 2,000 films.
To underline this long-standing partnership, in 2006 we
launched
‘e-Motion’, a special edition notebook carrying the
Festival de
Cannes logo. For more information about the Festival de Cannes
